LangHero — Privacy Policy

LangHero ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application LangHero (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

• Email address, if you register an account or contact support.
• Username or internal account ID.
• Identifiers provided by Apple or Google when linking to your account.

b. Usage and Learning Data

• Learning progress (completed lessons, quizzes, words studied).
• Counts of Gems earned, purchased, or spent.
• Session frequency and duration, activity and performance metrics.

c. Device and Technical Information

• Device model, operating system version, app version.
• Crash reports and diagnostics (if enabled).
• IP address and basic connection data.

d. Payment and Transaction Data

• Records of in-app purchases (item, price, date/time).
• Transaction identifiers from Apple App Store or Google Play Billing.

We do not receive or store your payment card details. All payments are processed securely by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features.
• Process in-app purchases of Gems and unlock content.
• Track and display your learning progress.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you.
• Comply with legal obligations.
• Analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve the App.

3. In‑App Purchases and Gems

The App uses a virtual currency called Gems. You may purchase Gems through Apple’s App Store or Google Play Billing to unlock dictionaries and additional features. Purchases are final, non‑transferable, and subject to Apple’s or Google’s terms and refund policies. Gems are not redeemable for real currency except where required by law.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share data with service providers (analytics, crash reporting, hosting, communications) under confidentiality and security obligations; with authorities where required by law; in aggregated or anonymized form for statistics; and in connection with business transfers subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us. We will delete or anonymize personal data except where retention is legally required. Aggregated, non‑identifiable data may be retained for analytics.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. 7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum legal age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.

8. Security

We use industry‑standard safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App and/or on our website with a new Effective Date. Material changes may be communicated in‑app. Continued use of the App after updates indicates acceptance.
